ROLL CALL - Ellen Robertson
Subject: ROLL CALL
From: Ellen Robertson
Date: August 15, 2000

Surnames: Pittman, Howard, Reid, Harrison, Fennell, Stroud, Robinson, Peace, Gosnell, McConnell, Kelly, Tucker, Belue, and 3 different Johnson families.

All of these ancestors lived in the upper Greenville County area around the North Carolina state line and the Indian Land that became Oconee and Pickens Counties. Some lived in the Dark Corner area of Glassy Mountain. Others lived in the Campobella area. Some lived in the High Falls and Six Mile area around the Keowee River. Some ancestors disappeared with the Creek and Cherokee Indians.

They came from Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, Charleston, and Georgia, before or around the Revolutionary War. We our government was giving land as payment for service.

The Pittman family line is the only one completed, back to the first ancestor to come to America.

I would be interested in talking to anyone with a connection to any of the above surnames.
Thank you, Ellen
