Subject: ROGERS, William Jr. and Sibella and dau. Elizabeth Rogers STRIBLING From: Elreeta Weathers Date: January 30, 1998 We are searching for information about William ROGERS, Sr. and his son William ROGERS, Jr.(b. abt. 1760-1770?) whose wife was Sibella. William ROGERS, Jr. and his wife Sibella were identified on the tombstone as parents of Elizabeth ROGERS STRIBLING, wife of Thomas Jefferson STRIBLING. Elizabeth ROGERS STRIBLING, b. 13 April, 1798, Anderson Co., SC, and d. 27 August, 1850, Neshoba Co., MS. Elizabeth was buried in the Barret Cemetery in the NW corner of Neshoba Co., MS, on the banks of the Pearl River. The isolated Barret Cemetery, Township Eleven, Range Ten, of Neshoba Co., MS, is now part of the Choctaw Indian Reservation. Elizabeth ROGERS married Thomas Jefferson STRIBLING on 28 Nov., 1813, in either Anderson Co., or Union Co., SC. The STRIBLINGS moved from SC to Neshoba Co., MS between 2 October, 1840, and 1 Mar., 1841. Thomas Jefferson STRIBLING was the oldest child of James Clayton STRIBLING, I, and Mary "Molly" "Polly" BECKHAM STRIBLING. The youngest child of James Clayton and Mary BECKHAM STRIBLING was Nancy Kincheloe STRIBLING(b. 15 Feb., 1807, Union District, SC), who married Joseph ROGERS before 1 June, 1830. I suspect that Joseph ROGERS and Elizabeth ROGERS may have been siblings. Thomas Jefferson STRIBLING and Elizabeth ROGERS STRIBLING were my ggg grandparents.
