Subject: Re: ROGERS FAMILY From: Elreeta Weathers Date: June 22, 2000 I am also looking for a William ROGERS, Jr. and his wife Sibbilla--and the timeframe and county (Union District) are appropriate. The tombstone of Elizabeth ROGERS STRIBLING in Barrett Cemetery of Neshoba Co., MS, says that Elizabeth was a daughter of William and Sibbilla ROGERS, Jr. Elizabeth was born 13 April, 1798 in Anderson County/Union District, SC and died 27 August in Neshoba Co., MS. Elizabeth married Thomas Jefferson Stribling on 28 Nov., 1813, in Anderson Co/Union District, SC. Thomas Jefferson Stribling was born in Union District. I have suspected that Joseph S. Rogers, b. 1803, might be a brother of Elizabeth Rogers Stribling, because (1) he married Nancy Kincheloe Stribling, a younger sister of Thomas Jefferson Stribling; and (2) Joseph and Nancy also went to Neshoba County, MS from Union Co., SC.
