I am searching for a Jeremiah RODGERS b 1816-1817 in SC or NC m ca 1847 d
after 1880 probably Marshall Co, AL.

Now, I have located a Jeremiah W. RODGERS of that age, son of William RODGERS
1797-bef 1869 and Sarah Elizabeth DUCKWORTH, who lived in Anderson Co, SC and
was born in NC, probably Halifax Co., a son of Wm. RODGERS b 1767 Halifax, who
d Jun 1850 Williamston , Anderson, SC.

This Jeremiah m 19 Jan 1847 in SC and has been said by other researachers to
be buried in Anderson Co.

At the bottom of this message, I have an obituary which seems to be for that
man.  

MY PROBLEM is that my Jeremiah RODGERS was on the 1880 census of Marshall Co,
AL, a widower, with daughters Margaret and Mary b 25 Jul 1860 in GA (county
unknown).  I do not find him after that.  So, he could not be the same as the
Jeremiah who died 1848, Anderson Co.

DOES ANYONE KNOW, of any other JEREMIAH's of this RODGERS clan who came to AL
and could be my connection ???????????????????????????????

By the way, other RODGERS of the Anderson District did come to the same part
of Marshall Co, AL.

husband and parent and a good neighbor. He has left a wife, and 5 ch. with
many relatives to mourn his loss."

also p 37, issue of Fri. Apr 23, 1847:
"m. in anderson Dist. on the 15th instant, (Apr 15, 1847) by Elder Robert
King, Mr. John Rodgers of TUSCALOOSA, AL to Miss Anna, eldest dau of Jeremiah
RODGERS of this dist."

My Mary Rodgers married to John A. BROOKS Sep 1874, beat 18, of Marshall Co,
AL and then moved to Pinhook, Lawrence Co, AL in 1894. Mary and John BROOKS
are bur at Cheatham cem., Pinhook, Lawrence Co, AL.
