Bunnie,

I had this list copied as "The Religious Tr. Soc ." I had the idea that in
this sense that tract and trace meant the same, but they may not. I had felt
that a trace society was one that published pamplets. You still see some
churches pass them out today.

The only other name for the Rocky River Church that I know of is the
Bulltown Presby. Church. This is because it was origionally located in the
Bulltown Fort (built to protect settlers from the Cherokees after the
Calhoun Massacre of 1760.) When the fort was no longer needed the timbers
were used to build the church.
Some of the timbers were used in the next two church buildings. I used one
of these antiques to build a play room mantel for a house that I built in
Rome, GA in 1959.

If you don't have a history of the church, I will mail you a copy. I don't
what else is available at Montreat.
