<< Hi, Judy, et al,
I have a book I bought years ago called OUR FAMILY CIRCLE, by Annie
Elizabeth Miller of Macon, Georgia, published 1975. It has a great deal in
it about the people you are researching. My husband is related to these
people, so someone recommended I get a copy. I bought my copy from Dr.
Robert E. H. Peeples, 8 Moon Shell Road, Hilton Head Island, SC 29928. It
has an enormous amount of information in it on all of the families that are
connected to the Roberts and Dixon lines. Or maybe you could find it in a
 library. Good luck.

Hi Joanne,
When I first looked at the info you sent from the book, I started to say,
"No, this is wrong!" But then I remembered there were two Elizabeth Dixon's
and both of them married a John Roberts. I do believe that both Elizabeths
were from the same family. Now let me see if I can explain the difference
here.

The line in the book that you sent the excerpt about are the descendants
of Pierre Robert Jr (5/8/1675-1731) and Judith Burdeaux Videau (1680-aft.
1731). Their son Jacques Robert 91711-1774) & Sarah Jaudou (1719-1779), Their
son John Patriot Robert (1742-1826) & Elizabeth Dixon (1750 -1820).

My line is from Jean (John) Roberts, b.(1687-1760) (brother of Pierre
Jr.) & Elizabeth Dixon (bef 1691 - 1760). their son Dr. John R. Roberts
(1708-1791) & (wife unknown). Their son Lewis Roberts (1750-1823) and Mary
(???). Their son John R. "Buttermilk Jack" Roberts (1778-1854 &
Phoebe Weeks O'Steen.

Pierre Jr. and Jean (John) were the son's of the Rev. Pierre Robert
(1656-1715) & Jeanne Braye (1660-1717). Rev Pierre founded the French
Huguenot Church at French Santee, Jamestown Parish, SC in 1796. Other
siblings were Elias (1679), and Jeanne (1681)
