Subject: Robert Lark From: Joe Jones Date: October 22, 1998 From "Orangeburg District History and Records, 1768 - 1868", by Marchant Culler, the following about Robert Lark: Robert Lark was living in Granville County on November 19, 1772, when he acquired 300 acres close to the Savannah River. Later, he was issued 707 more acres, part of which were on Steel Creek in Orangeburgh District. Elected to the House, Lark was a member of the Second General Assembly and represented the District Between the Savannah River and the North Fork of the Edisto River in the Fourth General Assembly in 1782. He also was elected to the Fifth General Assembly (1783-84) but declined to serve.
