       I am trying to find out about the family of Robert Dowling he was from
the Jeffries Creek Community of South Carolina. His descendants moved to Dale
County and settled in the Claybank Community of that Alabama county. Robert
Dowling's first wife's name is unknown, but he married a Sarah Guinn the
secondtime. He had a son named John Dowling  married Nancy Boutwell, who was
the father of the Alabama Dowlings, his son Dempsey Dowling  married Martha
Stokes. Now Reverend Dempsey Dowling had a son named Edward Dowling(1820-1906)
he married Anna M. Oates(1822-1874). If there is anyone in this group that is
