Dear Family Members,
     Mark your calendars because it's almost time for the  20th annual: 

           Peter Edward Ridgeway Family Reunion

     This year  the event will be held on Sunday, May 31, 1998 in Manning,
South Carolina at the American Legion Hut. Registration begins at 11:00 a.m.
Plans for the day include: a Memorial Day ceremony, group pictures, a
presentation on the history of the Ridgeway family, a learn to fish activity,
the usual wonderful meal, and a flag for each family member.

     Ice, cups, plates, napkins, eating utensils, and coffee will be
furnished. Plan to use your favorite recipes and bring your best cooking to
share with your extended family members. 

     A family history scrapbook has been started, so in order to add to our
family lore, please bring copies of old pictures, letters, and anything else
that you are willing to share.  Family group sheets will again be passed out,
in an effort to update our genealogy and family history. Please take the time
to fill them out. If you have a good "Ridgeway Family Story" to share,
everyone would love to hear it.  Eventually, we would like to have a book
published about the history of the Ridgeway family of Clarendon County.

      Volunteers are needed to help get things set up that morning and to 
watch over and entertain the children while the business meeting is conducted.
Please contact one of the officers if you can help with either of these
duties. Please don't forget to call all of your extended family members so
that everyone knows about our family reunion.
