Subject: Richard F. Hickson and wife Rebecca A. circa 1859 From: Deborah Byrd Date: May 29, 1999 I have the probate packett of Richard F. Hickson who died in Sumter County around July1859. The administrator was James A. Timmons. Richard's widow was listed as Rebecca A. they had 3 small children at the time of his death. I belive that Rebecca moved around 1861 to Timmonsville in Darlington. Money was paid to the Darlington County Sherrif. And a bill was paid to Dr. James E. Byrd in 1861. I think that by 1861 James had moved up to Timmonsville. Now the questions Was Rebecca a Timmons and the daughter of James A. Timmons? What were the names of their three children? Did Rebecca remarry if so who? I have a little information on the parents of Richard F. Hickson and am willing to share. Would like to have more on his family. He was the 1/2 brother of my ancestress Martha J. Baker wife of Andrew Jackson Byrd. James E. Byrd was A. J.'s brother.
