I am looking at a map (1822 John Wilson Map) in the book St
James Santee Plantation Parish, and there looks like the
name of **Rich Creek** near the coast. I could not locate
the Creek using GNIS. Does anyone have an idea of where to
look next; or if there is still a creek by this name? Can't
find it on any of my SC maps.

The creek seems to be near the location of the plantation
that Christopher RICH was overseeing... and I don't even
know the name of the plantation... only that a 'historian'
of the McClellanville area showed me where the RICH (and
SHOKES)  Plantation used to be while I was visiting there.

Where are all the McClellanville Historians when you need
them! :)
