Greetings,

I am trying to find Moses R. RHODES (b. 1789, Elbert County Georgia) and
his father, John W. RHODES (b. 8 Jan 1759 d. 4 July 1837)

Here is what I know about Moses:

1. Tax list 1814-1815 Elbert Co. Georgia
2. Private "Moses RODES" Georgia Militia, War of 1812.
Capt. Charles Carter's Company of Drafted Volunteer Infantry
First (Harris') Regiment. (No idea where to verify this!)
    Served 25 Aug. 1813 to 9 Mar 1814.
(American military forces had been ejected from Florida by
April 1813 but some Georgia troops were probably called to
duty)
3. Moses R. "ROADS" in 1820 census, Pendleton District South Carolina
    (now Pickens and Anderson Counties)
4. 1827 Land Lottery lists Hannah PARK? RHODES as widow and son,
John W. as orphan of Moses

John W. RHODES eventually married Mary "Polly" KELLY.

Family notes state that Moses might have lived on both sides of the
boundary line.

Any help GREATLY appreciated. I've looked around many, many Georgia and
South Carolina sites but can't find even whiff of my 4th grandfather.

Thanks
