CLARKE, John
While residing in Lancaster County, he entered service as a
substitute for his father, William, during 1780 and served
under Capt. William Nettles. He served at Quarter House,
Purysburg and Granby. He returned to service under Nettles
after Greene came South. Next, he was under Capt. Thompson
and was in the battle at Eutaw Springs.  (Moved to Tenn.)

CLARKE, John
He enlisted in the Fourth Regiment on 30 Sep 1776.

CLARKE, John
He served as an adjutant in the light dragoons under Lt.
Col. William Polk and Gen. Sumter during 1781.  Salley,
Doc., p.85;  A.A.1265;  M.524.

CLARKE, John
He enlisted in the Third Regiment on 10 Nov 1777. He was
under Capt. Uriah Goodwin during 1779.  S.C. H. &G., V.149;
N.A.853.

CLARKE, John
He served one month under Col. Horry and supplied deer
skins.  A.A.1255;  Y.1143.

CLARKE, Johnston
He served in the militia and was at the fall of Charleston.
