They had two children Richard Furman Hickson b. 1829 and Selina E. Hickson b. 1828. Ester married in 1830 John Baker of Sumter District. They had one child Martha S. Baker. Ester died in Taylorsville, Sumter, South Carolina 1 March 1852. Reuben moved with his first wife Mary Allen to Sumter district from Williamsburg District about 1820.
