There are lots of Mobley's (orginally Moberly) in Edgefield District.  Also Stedman's (name was orginally Stedham or Steadham).   
I have some info I will be willing to share if they connect into your line.  

Also, Mr Johnson Bland Mobley, Jr has recently published a book, THE DESCENDANTS OF dR JOHN RICHARD MOBLEY, SR AND LUCRETIA SIMKINS.   Information is available from the Ridge Heritage Association, P O Box 157, Johnston, SC 29532.  Purchase price is 35. plus $4.35 s/h.
