Subject: Re: Researching in Charleston, Part Two From: Maryd0318 Date: May 02, 2000 In reference to the charts Elizabeth spoke of....I found it very useful to chart out the Vol. of will books...listed Surnames, volumes and page numbers. To do this you really need to use the Index to the Charleston wills....it helped a lot and saved a lot of time once we got to the Charleston County Library. I would suggested checking your libraries to see if they have a copy of the index before hand. I bought a copy. It also helps if you can take a relative or friend to do the Xeroxing while you continue with the researching. The Xeroxing is time consuming and if a line for the machine occurs would take up some of your precious time.
