REMINDER: PUBLIC FORUM

It is okay if a writer chooses to give up personal privacy by posting personal
information such as street address, phone number, etc., in the Forum. But, when
doing so take note that this is a PUBLIC FORUM and that the Forum messages are
posted in publicly accessible archives. Any person, business, etc., can search
and read the forum archives now or in the future. It is possible that some spam
operators, telemarketing operations, or other undesirables might search the
message archives to extract such contact information. Also, if you share the
address, phone number, etc., with others, please keep their interests in mind
also.

Now, I know that probably reads like I'm either trying to frighten the reader or
that I'm paranoid. Well, you should know I'm not paranoid about it since I make
my contact information public in the taglines of every forum message. But, I
think this may be important enough to a few of us that it is worth reminding all
of us. Just use good judgment and only publish information which you are
willing to make accessible to the public.
