For anyone interested in this family, I urge you to borrow a copy of
"Ravenel Records" by Henry Edmund Ravenel, pub. 1898 by Franklin Printing,
Atlanta. (It appears to have been reprinted since then) I found a copy
through inter-library loan from The College of William and Mary. Probably
available in others as well.

It has LOADS of detailed data up to 1898, with interesting family diaries
and other information. Several other families such as Broughton, Cain, Hume,
Jervey, Lucas, Macbeth, Mazyck, Parker, Porcher, Wilson, and numerous others
are included.

The lending time is three weeks and you will need all of that. I am
returning my copy this week, so it won't be available for a week or so.
