I'd like to remind folks that even though your relative might not be listed
in the SSDI, you can still get a copy of their social security application
with or without an SSN. If you have a social security number, they will
still send a copy of the application to you. They will do a search for you
if you can provide a place of death and hopefully a date of death, if you do
not have the number.
