Question about a lost Brown family in S.C.  William Robert Brown b abt
1825 S.C. m Dicey Earle b 1830 York Co. S.C. reared there, she is listed
as a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church in Cherokee Co. Near
Blacksburg, in 1849. William and Dicey Brown m in 1849, had seven
children b between 1850 and 1862 in S.C.  The family was in Dyer Co. TN.
on the 1870 census, census states all born in S.C. However they are not
on the 1850 or 1860 U.S. census of S.C.  Have hired a researcher to
search for them, he coould find.   QUESTION;; Where was this family
living to evade the census taker in both years, could they have been
living on Catawba Indian land?????
Have books on the Earle family, suspect William R. Brown was part
Indian. at least the picture of his youngest son looks as if he has a
good deal of Indian blood.......
