Am Gggrandson of Theodore Drayton Grimke Drayton younger bro of Re. John
Grimke-Drayton, who was responsible for developing Magnolia Gardens.
Currently researching Draton and tracing the links acsross the Atlantic
in the 17 century. wold like to correspond with anyone researching
origins of the first sttlers of Charlestowne at the time of Sir John
Yeamans expedition in 1671. Believe that a Thomas Drayton came from
Barbados with Yeamans.It is possible that the Thomas Drayton in Virginia
Patent Book No.6 is the same man who came to Charleston
