Subject: Qualifying for US Citizenship in late 1700 and early 1800's From: CBD786 Date: April 25, 1998 I am interested in knowing if in the above periods there was a waiting period after arriving is America before one could apply and qualify for US Citizenship. Also were there applications that needed to be filled out. Many archives have told me that they are not aware of any such applications. I have an original completed application by grandfather 5 generations back in the state of Georgia. I give a great deal of infomation and would be very useful I available for all who became citizens.
