Subject: Post Rev. War estate settlements From: Lee Adair Date: March 11, 2001 When a landowner died intestate, how was his property (land holdings) distributed to his heirs? More specifically, how was this information passed to the county courthouse, since presumably if one of the heirs wished to sell his/her share of the land, a deed to that portion would have to have been created. What record books (other than deed books) should be consulted? Lee Adair ************************************************* W.
