Maybe we don't have the same Elijah GIBSON in mind! The one about whom I
speak:

From Thomas GIBSON, Sr. to Elijah GIBSON - 1802 Deed Bk F-P. p. 131

Elijah GIBSON m Nancy GIBSON, first cousin, dau/o Nelson GIBSON and -?-
WILLIAMS. [In fact, the two were double first cousins; their fathers were
brothers and their mothers were sisters!] They had at least 3 children;
1) Agnes (Aggie) m Rev Thomas GIBSON, son of Nathaniel GIBSON and Rachel
MENDENHALL; 2) Stafford GIBSON m Rachel GIBSON, a sister to the
preceeding Rev. Thomas GIBSON; 3) Nancy (Nanny) m John GIBSON, cousin,
son of Nathaniel GIBSON and Rchel MENDENHALL (first wife.)

Nelson GIBSON, bro/o Thomas, Sr., m Sarah WILLIAMS, sis/o Agnes who was
wife of Thomas. Agnes and Sarah were daus of Thomas Stafford WILLIAMS and
-?-.

I just noted a bit to cause potential confusion.....After the death of
Elijah Gibson (d bef 1811) his widow, Nancy, m2 Elisha Gibson (d 1816),
her brother-in-law. [I think Elisha and Elijah were twins!!!!!]
