Hello H.C.,
I'll try to answer your questions and I have some of my own:
1. Pleasant Doolittle THURMOND'S son was without a doubt named Pleasant
Davis THURMOND and he went by P. D. THURMOND. His last known address was Rt.
#!, Williamston, SC, but that was in 1964 and he was 66 years old then.
2. I don't know anything about the people you had as children of Pleasant
Doolittle THURMOND, but the list I gave you is correct ... it's right out of
his Bible.
3. I do not know Adeline's family history, sure wish I did. If you ever
find-out anything please let me know (I'll do the same for you).
4. Sarah A. H. H. THURMOND lived less than a year. She died on April 6, 1860
(Source: Family Bible of Pleasant Doolittle THURMOND).
5. Mary Ellen Josephine THURMOND d. March 2, 1868 (Source: same as #4
above).
I think that's it for your questions. If I missed anything, please let me
know. Following are a few questions I have:

1. What do the numbers mean after each person's name on the 1870 Edgefield
Census?
2. Do you have any information of the family of Mary Ison VANCE? I know her
father was William and they came from Kentucky ... and that's about all. I
got that much from the 1850 Edgefield Dist. Federal Census taken Dec. 12,
1850: p. 150 - VANCE, William (Male, 47 yrs. old) Farmer 3,500 acres, Samuel
(M,26), Margaret (F,18), Mary (F, 8), George (M, 6), Harriet (F, 3); "all
born Kentucky." No wife was listed.
3. Do you know who James Tolbert THURMOND married?
4. Do you know who Walter Eugene THURMOND married?
5. Do you know who Johnny Vance THURMOND married?
6. Do you know who Clarence "Uncle Clack" THURMOND married?
7. Also, I have Henrietta "Hetty" Doolittle MAYSON's parents as Benjamin
Doolittle and his wife Rhoda Ann Puckett, but this information didn't come
From my family records (Source: Doolittle Society). I think you have her
parents as Maysons. What was your source?
Thanks,
Mary
