Hi, List --

Is anyone here researching Peter Pike TAYLOR of Union Co., SC?  He was
born in England about 1786 and emigrated from Liverpool, England to the
port of Philadelphia in 1817 with a wife and two small children.  He
settled in Union Co. where he was on the 1820 and 1830 censuses of that
county. I haven't found him in 1840 but in 1850 he is on the Carroll Co.
census with a wife Elizabeth, born about 1792 in VA.  Known children:

Peter, born ca 1826 in SC; wife Caroline, b 1831; daughter Tallulah, b
June 1850

Thomas, born ?;

Elizabeth, born ca 1827 in SC; married A. H. THOMPSON in Carroll Co., TN
on 24 Dec 1851

William Horton, born ca 1829; married Susannah Jane ADAMS in Carroll
Co., TN on 24 Dec 1851.  This is our direct line and I have much more
information on this family.  We suspect the TAYLORs may have spent some
time in Ohio because two of daughters reported that their father was
born in Ohio -- how true this is we have no idea.
