I am researching my family surname, Pendarvis. I specifically am =
interested in my g-g-grandfather, Lewis Pendarvis who may have been =
brought up in the household of Joseph and Rachel Pendarvis. Lewis was =
born in Charleston in 1806 as Lewis Cherrytree and Joseph Pendarvis was =
born est. 1770-90 in Charles Towne, S.C. and died in Wayne Co. Ga 1849. =
Lewis changed his name after moving to Wayne Co., GA to Pendarvis. I =
need to find out Joseph's parents names. I feel that Lewis' mother may =
have been a Pendarvis before she married the Cherrytree.
