hi pat - familysearch shows a Joseph PENDARVIS b. 1871 in duval county, fl
whose father was Josiah PENDARVIS and mother was Nancy Louise JONES.

family search also gives a Joseph PENDARVIS, jr b. 1875 nassau, fl who
married Kattie Lee BURNEY on april 8, 1901 in nassau, fl.

there isn't curently a town named nassau in florida, although the county
adjacent to duval county is named nassau county. and there is a tiny little
spot of a few streets outside of fernandina, fl that is called nassauville.
either the county or nassauville are possibilities, the county being the
most likely.

hope you find them.
