I am researching Henry Ruyle I, b. Alsace-Lorraine abt 1715.  I know he 
was in Hampshire Co., VA by 1760, and I am trying to find his arrival to 
America. I was told that many ships originally bound for other ports 
were blown off course and came into SC.  Since I don't know any of the 
particulars of his departure/arrival, it's sort of like hunting a needle 
in haystack.  Can anyone give me any guidance?

I monitor a couple of other roots sites, and this is by far the most 
active and informative.  Our webmaster here is quite a gem!!
