Subject: Paine/Payne ==Evans? From: cynthia porcher Date: March 22, 1998 Sorry I don't have any Paynes of any spelling yet, but I am interested in Evans Family about same period and location. Apparently they had extensive landholdings between Mt. Pleasant and McClellanville but lost them for taxes after the War Between the States.
