1- Nathaniel Russell Paine, born abt. 1819, son of Joseph Bridgham Paine
and Harriet Brailsford.  Nathaniel is buried at St.Paul Churchyard       

His first wife was Elizabeth Mary Jummelle of Philadelpha(1821-1842).no
Childern

-     2nd wife Charlotte Bull Porteous (daughter of Mary Bull Fuller & John
Porteous.Charlotte, born abt. 1829, died: 3/30/1851.buried at Circular
Churchyard 
( She married 5/25/1848 in Beaufort.)
     
3rd marriage 11/11/1856 to Eugenia Reid, they had two children, Theodore &
Annie. She died  12/2/1863.
    PAINE CHILDREN:
  1- Morton Brailsford Paine, born 4/19/1849 buried 6/6/1912, His mother
was Charlotte Bull Porteous.
  2- Porteous Russell Paine, born 3/14/1851, buried 8/19/1925, His mother
was Charlotte Bull Porteous, Born      in Charleston SC. He married
2/12/1874, Ella Gantt, Dau. of Richard Gant.

  Morton Brailsford  Paine, son of Charlotte Bull Porteous and Nathaniel
Russell Paine, was born 4/19/1849 in Charleston, SC. He married 1/3/1871
(St. Ph.), Harriet Ashby, Born 10/9/1844 in Charleston , Daughter  of James
A. Ashby of Virginia and Harriet E. Williman.

They lived in Charleston,SC.  and they are buried in (Magnolia Cemetery
records show"buried 6/6/1912), Morton B. Paine aged 62" ,"buried 3/27/1927
Harriet A. Paine, aged 83years,7 days."  The paine records give the dates
of death as June 4, 1912 and March 26, 1927.

Their Children:
  1- Isabel Ashby Paine, born:10/5/1871, died:8/9/1957.
  2- Mary Williman Paine, Born:5/3/1873, died 8/3/1941
  3- Morton Brailsford Paine, Born:3/11/1883, died:8/14/1940

  Porteous Russell Paine, son of Charlotte Bull Porteous(1190) and
Nathaniel Russell Paine, was born 14 March,1851 in Charleston, SC.  He
married 12 Feb. 1874, Ella Mary Gantt, daughter of Richard Gant?.  They
lived in Charleston. 
Children: 
  1- Richard Gantt Paine, born:2/2/1875, died:9/27/1958
  2- Porteous Russell Paine, Born:10/28/1879, died: 1/14/1958 (He was
employed  with Read Phosphate Co., and later operated a farm on Wadmalaw
Island). He maried 10/12/1904 to Sarah Marie Gilfillin, born 7/16/1879 in
Greenville. They had no issue.
