Mrs. J.W. Nettles
   Summerville- Mrs. Ruth Stroble (sp.- Strobel) Nettles of Knightsville, 
widow of James W. Nettles, died Friday afternoon in Charleston, where she had 
been residing the last six months at the residence of a daughter, Mrs. Robert 
Tobin.
   Funeral services were held yesterday in Parks Funeral Home Chapel.
   Burial was in Summerville Cemetery.
   Mrs. Nettles was born Jan. 23, 1878 at Ridgeville, a daughter of Dr. and 
Mrs. John E. Stroble (sp). She was a member of the Knightsville Methodist 
Church.
   Surviving are: Three sons, Hurshel (sp.) Nettles, Ashton Nettles, and 
Edward Nettles, all of Knightsville; four daughters, Mrs. Annie Mims and Mrs. 
Robert Tobin, both of Charleston; Mrs. George Gatch of Johnâ€(tm)s Island and Mrs. 
J.A. Patrick of North Charleston; four sisters, Mrs. B. L. Knight of Holly 
Hill, Mrs. J.H. Cummings of Ridgeville, Mrs. L.A. Welch of Summerville, and 
Mrs. B.W. Nettles of Miami, Florida; two brothers, Charles G. (should be C.) 
Stroble (sp.) of Givhans and E.L. Stroble (sp) of Summerville; twelve 
grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
