Jean Prather's posting today caught my eye.
I wonder how many others can show a connection between the Uplands SC
counties and the high hills of Alabama around Sand Mountain (Boaz area)?

I have DODD ancestors who moved from around Union, Spartanburg, and Pickens
Co., traveled briefly through Cass/Bartow and Fayette/Campbell Co., GA, and
began to move into the Boaz/Sand Mountain area before the Civil War.  After
the war the kinfolk who were in AL served as a rest station for those
moving from SC and GA into AR  and TX.

Does anyone else show this general migration pattern?
