James Vickers was born about 1802 in Georgia. He was married about 1840 to 
Sarah Pelt (Van Pelt), probably a daughter of Anthony Van Pelt of Jackson 
County, Florida. Sarah was born in 1824 in North Carolina.
They had the following children:

James Vickers died about 1864 in Jackson County, Florida. Sarah (Pelt) 
Vickers died on October 14, 1896 in Jackson County, Florida. Both are 
buried in the Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery, Graceville, Florida.
