Hey All,

Thought I'd do a little bombarding on the genealogical front. I'm
interested in the NORWOOD family. Williamson Norwood was b in NC to
John and Mourning Harris Norwood. John and family were in
Edgefield Co, SC by 1785 and later in Abbeville Co SC. His older brother
George had moved to Old District 96 earlier.

Apparently when John Norwood died he left a deed, not a will (according to
McSwain in _The deNorthwode, Norwood Family of Early England and Early SE
US_) but she didn't repeat the information because it was published in
_"General" John Norwood and Connections_, but I think the title is either
_General John Norwood and Related Lines_ by William Howard Norwood or
_Capt. John Norwood and Mary Warren Norwood, A Family History_ by Mrs.
J.W. Norwood Jr and Charles S Norwood.

So far I've had no luck on interlibrary loans.
Does anyone have access to these?
Does anyone have access to John Norwood's deed/will (I don't think he's
either of the John Norwood's listed in Youngs _Abstracts of Old 96 and
Abbeville Wills,etc._ because the wives/descendants aren't right.)
Where'd he die anyway? When?

Making this long story longer, I'm looking for a list of who was deeded
whom. His son Williamson listed my ancestors among his "property" in
1848. Were they obtained from his father or purchased.

Thanks
Root on

 Sonia
