I saw both parts of your message, but I am interested in your surname, MOORE.
We have Moores in our SC line. Our MOORE family came from Craven Co (Neuse
River) NC into Barnwell Dist with William, Simon, Lewis, Joseph, John, Jesse
(and possibly Frederick) BRYAN who were also residents along the Neuse. They
all sold out property in Craven in the early 1770's and we next find them with
deeds of land in Coosawhatchie area Barnwell Dist. We also find William BRYAN
(our direct ancestor) purchasing land in Brier Ck in Screven Co, GA (many of
his descendants moved there later on). Our MOORE family consisted of Thomas
MOORE (father), wife Sarah\\, children (positive ones:) Elizabeth (m Wm
BRYAN), Anne (m Simon BRYAN), William (m M Margaret DEWEES, sister of Rebecca
DEWEES who m Joseph BRYAN, (son of William and Elizabeth BRYAN). THe DEWEES
girls were daughters of Cornelius DEWEES b PA or NJ and moved to Charleston,
where he owned Dewees Island and had 2 families. These girls were by his
second wife, Mrs Sarah Minors (widow of Charles Minors of Charleston). If you
see any connection between our MOORE families (or any others), I would love to
hear from you.
