Most or all of these families moved into NC from either VA or PA and
then to SC and some on to Effingham or Bulloch Counties GA, in the
1700s. I do not have many dates - no towns - but the following is as
complete as I have:

Bartholomew BALL(b C1700) married Elizabeth HENLEN (b: C1710 -SC) in
C1730. Their daughter Ann BALL married John MIKELL, Sr. Another of
their daughters, Elizabeth BALL m: James THOMSON. John Mikell, Jr.
son of Ann & John Mikell m: Elizabeth THOMSON, daughter of Elizabeth
and James Thomson. Yes. they were cousins.

William BALL of Eng M; Margaret SAMPSON of Eng and were the parents of
Bartholomew BALL, shown above.....Don't know the parents of John
MIKELL, Sr....

William Woodcock lived in New Hanover County, NC until after the Rev
War. He moved to Winton County (now Barnwell) SC for several years
then on to Bulloch County, GA in or about 1796.

Abraham Breland (Breler or other spellings) was listed as a tax payer
in Beaufort County NC in 1755 -The area was part of what became PITT
County and he shows up in deed, jury duty etc until he moved to the
area now called Barnwell/Bamberg Counties, SC in 1768.

Any news or data will be greatly appreciated. I have posted to the
following web site: http:///\www.cwoodcock.com if you can add or
correct any of the data please let me know. It is under William
Woodcock by Edward Breland [email protected]
