Did any of your Stewarts migrate to Tennessee?
Demps(e)y Stewart(my gggrandfather) is listed in the 1820 and 1840 census
for Chester County.
He is also listed in the 1830 census for Fairfield County.  He is in the
1850 census for White County, Tennessee.
I have not found any other references to him in South Carolina.
Do you recall finding any references to him during your searches?
