Subject: Navajo Tribe Pineville NC/ Rock Hill SC From: Mrstoetoe Date: June 23, 1998 Hello! I'm trying to find out information on a ribbon that was given to me by relatives since I've been doing our family history. I know that it more than likely belonged to my great grandfather. The part of the medal that pins on to the clothing has NAVAJO Tribe No. 167. Two chains hang from there where it says MEMBER and a hook holds a picture of a Indian chief in full head dress. Attached to that is a ribbon that has vertical green, blue and red stripes with a fringe at the bottom of it. On the ribbon it says NAVAJO Tribe, No. 167 IMPO O-R-M Pineville, NC. It appears to be real old. I'm trying to find out where it came from in the family originally and the history behind it. ANY help from you would be forever appreciated.
