Cheryl,

I found a copy of a document located in the SC Magazine of
Ancestral Research. ( I was so excited that I didn't copy
the vol. #)!

It reads as follows:

NANCY HARRISON, MOSES BROWN, ANN FAIRCHILD, AND MARY
McINTOSH: PERSONS OF INDIAN BLOOD

The following document is found in the Miscellaneous
Records, Vol. 5-2, p. 546 (SC Archives). This was
contributed by Mrs. John H. Kirkland Jr. (Wilma Copeland
Kirkland), Greenwood, S.C.

This is to certify that I have in my possession Documents
wherein it appears that Nancy Harrison is the daughter of
Moses Brown and Ann Fairchild that the said Moses Brown was
born of Mary McIntosh an Indian by a white man named William
Brown and that Ann Fairchild was an Indian woman.

J.W. Mitchell

Charleston, 11 Dec, 1833

We believe that above statement to be just and true.

Rob Howard
John Cart

State of SC
Charleston Dist.

Personally appeared James A Miller who being sworn says he
saw Robert Howard and John Cart sign the above document that
he personally knows the signature of J.W. Mitchell and
believes the above to be that of J.W. Mitchell.
Sworn 21 July 1843
John Allyles, Mag.

Hope this is of some help to you. I'd like to see your
family tree. I'm trying to find the HARRISONs. There was no
mention of who Nancy's husband was.
