One of my Rabon ancestors served in the Revolutionary War. Here's what I
have on him.
John Raborn b. abt. 1750 in South Carolina married to Susannah.
            His Revolutionary War Records:
"For 80 days duty as a private soldier under Colonel
Murphy from the 5th of December 1779 to the 20th day of May 1780. Paid
five pounds, fourteen shillings and three & quarter pence."
"Gentlemen please let Captain Danile Sparks or
Robert Blair have my indent and you'll much oblige.

                                                                Yours to
serve,

                   10 May, 1786 John
(R) Raborne

(signed with marked 'R')

Hey, who else out there has Rabons from South Carolina?
I've got quite a few names if somebody's interested. Thanks! Alicia
(BTW, I also have Branhams, Barfields, Wilsons and Arledges that tie
into the names I have. These families tended to marry!)
