Murrah, Holland, Clarke - Susan Johanson
Subject: Murrah, Holland, Clarke

Date: July 19, 2000

My gg-grandfather John Baylis Clarke, Sr died shortly before 8-17-1855 in Anderson, SC.
In the Bond of Administration, his son John Baylis Clarke, Jr. and his son in law Jesse R.
Smith, both of Anderson, were named administrators and signed the Bond. Two other people
signed the Bond. They were A. M. Holland and E. F. Murrah. Who are these people and why
would they sign the Bond? A. M. Holland could be Asbury M. Holland. The estate did owe A.
M. Holland some money, but it owed several people money and it was owed money by several
people. Does anyone know what connection these men would have with John Baylis Clarke,
Sr. of Anderson, SC? Any help would certainly be appreciated.
                                                                                 Susan

(Apologies to those who receive multiple mailings from the various lists
