Mrs. GOSSETT- Mill Exec's Widow Dies- Mrs. B.B. Gossett, 79. widow of
Benjamin B. Gossett, president of Gossett Mills for many years, died this
morning in a local hospital. Mrs. Gossett was born Feb. 5, 1885, in
Annapolis, MD., daughter of the late Louis S. Clayton and Emma Deshields
Clayton. She was reared in Annapolis. She and Mr. Gossett moved to
Charlotte in 1922 from Anderson, SC.  He died in 1951. Mrs. Gossett was a
charter member of Myers Park Methodist Church and a member of Halifax
Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Colonial Dames,
Founders and Patriots and the Charlotte Country Club. Funeral services
will be held at 4:30 pm tomorrow at harry and Bryant Chapel in the Oaks,
conducted by Dr. J. Clay Madison and the Rev. William B. Bobbitt Jr.,
ministers of Myers Park Methodist Church. Burial will be in Forest Lawn
Cemetery. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. S. Frank Jones of Charlotte; a
son, Judge James P. Gossett of Billings, Montana; 10 grandchildren, and 3
great-grandchildren.

Kimberly LANFORD- Graveside services for Kimberly Ann Lanford, 2 month
old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Lanford of Eugene, Ore., formerly of
Charlotte, were held yesterday at Evergreen Cemetery in Charlotte. The
Rev. Paul Ford of Westside Baptist Church officiated. The child died Wed.
in Eugene. Survivng are her parents; a sister, Valorie Jean Lanford of
the home, and 6 brothers, Keith Alton Lanford, Kenneth Alton Lanford,
Gene Otis Lanford, Gregory Lanford, Chuck Lanford and Dennis Lanford of
the home.

Mrs. STOKES- Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Vaughn Stokes of 3012
Dublin Rd. will be held at 11 am. tomorrow at West Avenue Presbyterian
Church in Gastonia. Graveside services will be held at Orangeburg, SC.
Mrs. Stokes died yesterday in a local hospital. She was a member of West
Avenue Presbyterian Church in Gastonia. Surviving are 3 daughters, Mrs.
R.H. Hook of Bessemer City, Mrs. Thompson B. Little of Gastonia and Miss
Ruth Stokes of Charlotte, and a son, Clayton P. Stokes of Charlotte.

Miss HUCKS- Funeral services for Miss Lillian Leota Hucks, 72, of the
Methodist Home will be held at 2 pm. on Wed. at Harry and Bryant Chapel
in the Oaks. The Rev. T.S. Hoffman, Methodist Home chaplain, will
officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Miss Hucks died this
morning in a local hospital. She was born in March, 1892, in SC.,
daughter of the late Robert Hern Collins Hucks and Florida Matilda
Johnson Hucks. She had lived at the Methodist Home since Oct. 1959. She
was a member of First Church of Christ, Scientist. Surviving are a
brother, Robert T. Hucks of Bound Brook, NJ.; 2 sisters, Mrs. Annie
Laurie Anthony of Staten Island, NY., and Mrs. Lucille H. Anderson of
Philadelphia, PA., and a number of neices and nephews. The family will be
at the home of Col. and Mrs. J. S. Albergotti, 1634 Providence Rd.

M.R. WYNN- Funeral services for Marvin R. Wynn, 61, of Dublin, GA.,
formerly of Charlotte, will be held at 3 pm. tomorrow at Harry and Bryant
Chapel in the Oaks. The Rev. Robert Howard, a minister at Myers Park
Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Sharon Memorial Park.
Mr. Wynn died yesterday in Dublin. He was born Nov. 22, 1903, in Cochran,
GA., son of the late James and Gertrude Van Landingham Wynn. He had lived
in Dublin since Nov. Mr. Wynn retired recently after 46 years with the
Burroughs Corp. He was a member of Myers Park Baptist Church. Surviving
are his wife, Mrs. Nell Lomax Wynn; 2 daughters, Mrs. Ted C. Wholbruck of
Laurens, SC., and Mrs. R.G. Armstrong of Studio City, Calif.; a son,
Marvin R. Wynn Jr., of Charlotte; 2 sisters, Mrs. Fred E. Johnson of
Lakeland, Fla., and Mrs. D.L. Thomas of Jacksonville, Fla., and a brother
J.L. Wynn of Jacksonville, Fla. The family will be at the home of Mrs.
Wynn's brother E.L. Lomax of Rt. 1, Belwood Lane, off Providence Rd.

H.L. HELMS- Funeral services for Henry Lee Helms, 60, of 1411-A Murdock
Rd. will be held at 11 am. tomorrow at Hankins and Whittington Funeral
Chapel. The Rev. A.A. Kyles, pastor of Duncan Memorial Methodist Church,
will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Love Dixon of Gastonia. Burial will
be in Sharon Memorial Park. Mr. Helms died Sat. at home. Born April 18,
1904, in Union County, he was the son of the late Henry W. and Nettie
Martin Helms of Charlotte. He had lived most of his life in Mecklenburg
County. Mr. Helms was a member of Duncan Memorial Methodist Church. He
retired two years ago after 37 years with Acme Plumbing Co. Surviving are
his wife,Mrs. Rosa Lee Helms; a daughter, Mrs. Robert T. Richardson of
Charlotte; 3 sons, Ernest H. Helms of Ashville, Ernie Lee Helms and
Robert W. Helms of Charlotte; 2 sisters, Mrs. R.L. Miller and Mrs. J.H.
Tucker of Charlotte, and 11 grandchildren.

Mrs. CARPENTER- Funeral services for Mrs. Lillie Laws Hutto Carpenter,
66, of a local nursing home were held at 2 p.m. today at Westside Baptist
Church.  The Rev. Paul A. Ford, the pastor, and the Rev. Roy W. Chandler
of Four Square Memorial Church officiated.  Burial was in Sharon Memorial
Park.  Mrs.  Carpenter died Saturday in a local hospital.  She was born
March 26, 1893, in Gason County, daughter of the late John and Mary
Kenley Laws.  She was a member of Westside Baptist Church.  Surviving are
two daughters, Mrs. Tom W. Caudle and Mrs. Roy Helms of Charlotte; three
sons, William J. Carpenter, Sylvanus Carpenter and Frank Hutto of
Charlotte; 24 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Denaci - Funeral services for Mrs. Henrietta Matilda Denaci, 77, of
Rt. 10, Charlote will be held at 9:30 am Wednesday at Vander Plaat
Colonial Home in Fair Lawn, NJ.  The Rev. Henry Loeber, pastor of Our
Saviour Lutheran Church in Fair Lawn, will officitae [sic].  Burial will
be in Lutheran Cemetery in Middle Village, L.I., N.Y.  Mrs. Denaci died
yesterday at home.  She was born Jan. 2, 1888, in New Jersey, daughter of
the late Ernest and Gertrude Hartman Ritter.  She was a member of
Resurrection Lutheran Church.  Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Eleanor
Godlewski of Charlotte; a son, Daniel Denaci of St. Paul, Minn.; a
sister, Mrs. Marie Gardner of Jersey City, N.J.; four grandchildren, and
a great-granddaughter.
