Thank you Steve and Melinda! Being in the wrong state is just one more
example why "family records" have to be assessed very carefully. The
composition itself, although perhaps couched in suitable language, may be
very misleading either by what IS said or by what IS NOT said; or in the
ORDER in which it is said. Anyway, the laugh is on me! But I realize more
every day that these family trees can get very complicated. Incidentally, I
have found that the Mobleys are/have been very prolific. There is much to be
found in regard to this surname, and if we do not watch ourselves, we get
into 500 bearers of the name, in thirty counties, in five states. The answer
is, of course, to stick to the particular line in which we are interested.
In this case, the geography lesson DOES help/HAS helped a lot! Will send my
findings to you, Steve, when I can reasonably authenticate them.
