Being in the wrong state is just one more example why "family records" have to be assessed very carefully. The composition itself, although perhaps couched in suitable language, may be very misleading either by what IS said or by what IS NOT said; or in the ORDER in which it is said. Anyway, the laugh is on me! But I realize more every day that these family trees can get very complicated. Incidentally, I have found that the Mobleys are/have been very prolific. There is much to be found in regard to this surname, and if we do not watch ourselves, we get into 500 bearers of the name, in thirty counties, in five states. The answer is, of course, to stick to the particular line in which we are interested. In this case, the geography lesson DOES help/HAS helped a lot!
