My ancestor was John Shannon who died 1800 in Fairfield District, leaving
just a large estate sale record. His wife must have died before him, but
they had 3 children mentioned. A Thomas Shannon lived next to him. Thomas
was a captain in the Rev. War. Thomas Shannon's son married a Mobley whose
family is well documented from PA to SC. I was hoping to find a link with my
John and the Mobleys as I was told John came from PA also, but I have never
found a thing before his death. Thanks for your response, Darlene Cantey,
Camden, SC
