Sticker shock ....

Does anyone have any idea how many copies of the 1825 Atlas are still
extant? [There was one in my family stored in one of the outbuildings in
the early 1920s but my father and some cousins were playing and set several
bales of cotton on fire as well as the barn and the Atlas. Story sheepish
told me by my father. I have the charred remains as further proof.]

The 1937 Lucy Hampton Bostick edition occasionally turns up on the market at
prices ranging up to about $1,500. Best price I've seen was about five
years ago at $750.

I just checked on the price for Mills Atlas. Barnes and Nobles carries an
