Hello I am looking for information of the William Duncan Reid family from
Lancaster South Carolina. He was said to be the son of a Mr? Reid who was a
white man in Kershaw SC.He was born around 1840 or the 1850's. He had Two
white brother by the names of Willy and Johnny Reid. One brother owned the
cotton Gin in Lancaster SC and one got killed in Columbia SC. I am wondering
if the white were really indian people passing for white, because of the way
my gggranddad looked. I want to know the name of his parents and his race. I
am also researching the Hill family from Lancaster SC. The names are Amanda
and and Elias Hill. I think their is a Connection to the Lawyer Irvin
Clinton. And finally I am researching the Lizzy Brown, the Anderson
Cunningham, and the George&Rebecca Brace families all from the
Lancaster/Kershaw SC area.Any info would probably be helpful particular the
name of a particular tribal affliation or any American Indian information.
