Re: Mill's Atlas frustration

With all due respect to others' opinions, it seems to me that perhaps the
names of the landowners that were included on Mill's Atlas maps were on the
original surveys that were made by local surveyors. From what I have read,
Mills redrew and "improved" upon those original surveys. 

The 1825 Mill's Atlas map of Marion District states: "Surveyed by Thos.
Harllee, D.S., 1818." Harllee was a resident of Marion District, and
presumably was the one who knew where the people named on the map resided.
