The rootsweb servers will not be infected by something that never was.  They
are too well protected from things that are.
Not to say that one may think they are a carrier and have passed it on.
Sounds more like a happy99 version of a worm.
There is a site for hoaxes and I believe the major anti-virus folks carry it
also.
