While perusing through some of the entries on the magazine below, I found this
one.  Does anyone know what "in Licore an pashdd. in the Cold" means?

State of S. C., Union Dist. - An inquisition taken before me William Kennedy,
Cornr. for the District upon the Dead Body of Lewis Berry of the District
aforesaid upon the oaths of twelve Good and lawful men who being Duly sworn
and chargd. do say on their oaths that the Said Lewis Berry came to his Death
by being "in Licore an pashdd. in the Cold." Given under our hands and seals
Feby. 20th 1815.
